What you'll do

Overview

Enjoy a fun filled break to Lapland. Get off the beaten track and experience what the Finnish wonderland has to offer, with a husky tour, a reindeer ride to Santa through the Magic Forest with a meeting with Santa Claus and a adventure on a snow train in search of the Northern Lights.

Your trip will start with a transfer from Rovaniemi airport to your accommodation. You will have the chance to relax before starting the adventure the next day.

During your stay enjoy a 2 hour Husky Adventure, meet these loved animals from the North, stroke them and have your photo taken with them. See how much the huskies love pulling you through the white-scape of forest trails and hills. You’ll have the novel opportunity to be the “musher”, steering and controlling the huskies yourself!

Embark on a Snow train journey through a winter wonderland, venturing far from city lights in search of the Northern Lights. After travelling through the snowy landscapes, you will reach a traditional Lappish kota deep in the wilderness, where you’ll gather around a blazing bonfire for light snacks and hot drinks. The Aurora expert will assist with camera settings for capturing the Northern Lights.

This excursion focuses on the Aurora, allowing you to appreciate the serene, snowy forest and silence. While no one can promise a 100% sighting of the Northern Lights due to their natural occurrence, this trip offers an excellent opportunity.

The Adventure doesn’t stop there… a reindeer awaits you, ready to guide you to Santa Claus’ hidden hut. Hop into a snug sled and start a journey through the Magic Forest. Helpful Elves accompany you on the quest to discover Santa’s Hut, a place brimming with magic. With their assistance, you’ll uncover a Secret Pathway in the snow leading to an extraordinary destination. Warm drinks and cookies will be served.

Please see the itinerary details below for more information about the accommodation types you can choose from.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

*Please enquire about availability and prices for 20th December to 30th December 2024.

While no one can promise a 100% sighting of the Northern Lights due to their natural occurrence, this trip offers an excellent opportunity.

Husky Adventure

Husky Adventure:

Meet our howling furry friends, the huskies, on this daytime adventure, including a two hour safari!

Huskies are one of the most loved animals of the North, and you will understand why when you meet the pack. You can pet them, take photos with them and listen to stories about their lives. Witness them loving their job as they pull you across trails in the forests. The day’s highlight is the 7–10 km safari, where you can become the musher, directing the husky team as they pull the sled.

The rest of the day is up to you with many possibilities. There is a frozen lake at the resort, perfect for a leisurely stroll on the thick ice surface. The spacious yard features a daily lit bonfire for relaxation. Whether you’re interested in building a snowman, ice-kick sledding, or simply exploring the resort and capturing memories with photos, the resort provides plenty of fun activities.

Snowmobile Safari into the Wilderness

Experience the wild nature of the arctic in a totally unique way, as you hop on a snowmobile and drive off into the forest. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way as you drive through conifer forests and frozen marshlands, until you stop for a moment to enjoy a hot drink.

The snowmobiles can take you to some phenomenal places – making it possible for you to witness nature’s beauty at it’s best. Meet at reception (at least 10 minutes before the start time of your experience) and then head out into the wilderness where you’ll meet your guide.

After a quick lesson in how to safely use your snowmobile, it’s time to start your adventure as you cruise into the wilderness, drinking in the magical scenery and enjoying the thrill of zipping through the snow-covered forest.

Please note:

Children (4 years old and up) will join the excursion on a heated sled positioned behind the guide’s snowmobile. We highly recommend that one of the parents sits with their small child in the sled for the child’s comfort and safety.
