What you'll do

Overview

Enjoy a fun filled break to Lapland. Get off the beaten track and experience what the Finnish wonderland has to offer, with a husky tour, night snowmobile safari in search of the Northern Lights, a reindeer sleigh ride through the night and relaxation in a sauna carriage.

Your trip will start with a transfer from Rovaniemi airport to your accommodation. You will have the chance to relax before starting the adventure the next day.

During your stay enjoy a 2 hour Husky Adventure, meet these loved animals from the North, stroke them and have your photo taken with them. See how much the huskies love pulling you through the white-scape of forest trails and hills.

Hop on the snowmobile for your 2.5 hour night excursion through the most beautiful snowy scenery to hunt the Northern Lights! The snowmobiles will take you to untouched nature, where the only sounds come from the arctic wild animals around. Experience the thrill of snowmobiling, and stop on the way to admire the beauty of the Arctic sky in total darkness. Have a bite to eat and a hot drink before returning to reality.

Enjoy the 3 hour reindeer sleigh ride across the night into the wilderness where your guide will share some fascinating stories to keep you entertained. If you’re lucky, perhaps the Northern Lights will make an appearance and escort you through the forests of Lapland – what a better way to live life to the fullest!

Experience a traditional Finnish sauna, step into the gentle warmth of this unique wood-heated sauna and relax.

Located on the last frontier, where Rovaniemi city ends and the outback begins, your resort welcomes you for an adventure to remember! Amidst the embrace of two remote lakes at the edge of unspoilt wilderness, the resort offers unique accommodation options.

Meet your driver at the airport and after 10-15 minutes drive, you will arrive at the stunning resort. Check in to your accommodation and spend some time to enjoying the beautiful snowy views before dinner.

Meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be served within the restaurant where you will enjoy Nordic cuisine with modern twist and delicious locally produced ingredients. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style in this elegant setting, with views out over the snowy landscape and a roaring fire to keep you cosy.

After a delicious dinner, retreat back to your cosy accommodation for a good nights sleep under the stars!

Husky Adventure and Night Snowmobile Experience

Husky Adventure:

Meet our howling furry friends, the huskies, on this daytime adventure, including a two hour safari!

Huskies are one of the most loved animals of the North, and you will understand why when you meet the pack. You can pet them, take photos with them and listen to stories about their lives. Witness them loving their job as they pull you across trails in the forests.

 

Night Snowmobile Experience:

Relax in a traditional Finnish sauna waiting for you on your doorstep? As you book this sauna, you’re soon about to witness how a peculiar, cute little sauna slides its way to the front of your doorstep. As you’ll hear a knock on your door you’ll know the sauna is ready for you to step into the gentle warmth of this unique wood-heated sauna.

 

Departure

It is time to say goodbye to Lapland. Take the last deep breaths of fresh air and save the magical moments with us in your memory. After check out, you will be transferred back to the airport.

Aurora Cabin Family glass igloos we designed with families and groups of friends in mind. They comfortably sleep 2+4 guests, providing the ideal home base for your Arctic adventures. Lie on your bed and enjoy unobstructed views of the night sky with its endless stars and many wonders. The cabins are situated right at the shore of Lake Olkkajärvi, allowing you to also relish stunning lake views

In addition to a plush king-size bed, you’ll find a 160 cm wide double bed in a separate alcove, along with a convertible sofa that transforms into a 140 cm wide bed. For added convenience, the igloo features a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as climate-controlled air conditioning.

As you might expect in Finnish Lapland, the story of our Resort started from ice, and the first people living in the area were Sámi. They lived  in small communities as nomads, following the fish and game along the coast and  inland.

Standing right on the banks of the Olkka river, the resort started its life as a research station and in 2017 the current owners, a  brave and innovative team began the project of creating a unique new resort, first building ice cabins and offering Northern Lights excursions, the project quickly became  a full-service resort – and  they found themselves in the kitchen baking cinnamon rolls and cooking dinners for their guests!

What are check-in / check-out timings?

Check-In will be starting from 16.00 until 22.30pm on the day of your arrival.
Check-Out will be starting from 7.30 until 12.00am on the day of departure.
In case of room change same times apply.

Late Arrival: In case you are arriving later than 22.00, please inform us well in advance. Otherwise we cannot ensure that check-in will be available.
