Touch down in Kittilä airport, before being whisked straight to your accommodation for the duration of your stay, a Sky View cabin with open views of the snow-covered forest, the night sky and, hopefully, the Aurora Borealis, all from the comfort of your own bed.

Immerse yourself in a four-night adventure, where your days are filled with exhilarating snowmobiling escapades across the expansive wilderness. By nightfall, savour the serenity of your forest-view accommodation and witness the enchanting Northern Lights gracefully dancing above.

Enjoy genuine Lappish experiences as you embark on thrilling husky safaris through the forest and  on a reindeer ride through the otherworldly night of Arctic Lapland, providing insight into the lives of these animals that have been integral to the local community for centuries.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Arrival Day

Land at Kittila airport, where you will be met by your private transfer and taken directly to your accommodation for the duration of your stay.

Take some time to settle in, unpack or explore, then you can enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant.

You will be staying in a beautiful glass roofed aurora cabin, which provides panoramic surroundings of the snow-covered woodland and the wintery night sky. With any luck, you’ll be able to witness the spectacle of the Northern Lights on your very first night in Lapland, all from the comfort of your bed.

Husky Ride and evening Aurora Chase

After breakfast you will depart for your first Arctic activity a Husky Safari.

The husky safari is a real adventure in the wilderness led by trained husky dogs on around a 10 km route. The dog sled is shared by two people who can take turns driving the sled whilst the other sits back and enjoys the ride and the scenery. Jump on a sled and enjoy the thrill of dashing through the snow at speed!

The safari will take about 2 hours and includes a professional guide and hot drinks. In the evening, head out in a small group and journey into the wilderness with us to the heart of the aurora zone. This Aurora chase provides you with the best opportunity for witnessing nature’s spectacle away from any light pollution. Best of all you’ll be taught how to take amazing photographs of the Northern Lights.

Reindeer Farm Visit and Ride

Today, your can experience true Lapland magic, starting with a reindeer ride through the snow covered landscape.

Get to know these gentle animals and the learn about the vital part they play in the lives of the local Sami people, before sitting back and relaxing as you hiss through the snow on a picturesque sleigh ride and become a reindeer musher!

Take the afternoon at your leisure, venture into the wilderness on a snowshoe adventure or take to the resorts very own ‘heart shaped’ ice rink!

Snowmobile Safari

Today you will leave for your snow mobile safari after breakfast.

You will make our way around the Levi Fell and enjoy the diverse snowy scenery. Weather permitting you’ll ascend to the top of the fell for amazing views and you may even see reindeer!

Riding beside Kätkä fell to the west you will arrive at the old wilderness lodge of Hanhipirtti. There you’ll have the chance of a break and to enjoy hot drinks and homemade pastries. After resting for a while, you will ride back towards Levi.

Returning to your accommodation you can relax  after an amazing day of new experiences. Time to immerse yourself in a warm hot tub or take a sauna to relax.

Departure Day

Wake up on your final morning in Lapland, and enjoy a delicious breakfast before checking out of your aurora cabin and being transferred back to Kittila airport.

We are sure you have had an incredible time with us in the Arctic Circle, and leave with precious memories of countless moments of winter magic.

Sky View Cabin Deluxe Plus

Sky View Cabin Deluxe Plus has a master bedroom with large windows, a heated glass ceiling, a kitchenette and a separate seating area. The Cabins feature a large terrace with a private outdoor hot tub designed for 4 persons.

The Deluxe Plus cabins are designed for 2-person use by default but by adding extra beds they can accommodate a total of 4-5 persons. The 2 sofa-beds from the seating area can be transformed into a 160 cm and a 70 cm wide extra beds.

Sky View Cabin Deluxe Plus is an ideal option for couples, a small group of friends or a family.

Enjoy the luxury of your private outdoor hot tub and gaze at the nightly sky. With a bit of luck, the sky will be filled with stars or a show of Northern Lights you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Sky View Cabin Ultimate

The Sky View Cabin Ultimate is the flagship of all the cabins at Northern Lights Ranch and it is the only cabin which has its own private sauna and a private outdoor hot tub for the guests to enjoy.

The entrance side of the cabin features a living room, an open kitchen and an alcove with a TV.
The sofa-bed situated in the living room can be transformed into a 160 cm wide extra bed for 2 persons and in the TV corner another sofa-bed can also be used as a 140 cm wide extra bed for 1 additional adult or for 1-2 children (3-12 yrs.). The other side of the cabin consists of the bedroom, the spacious bathroom with a separate toilet and the sauna. The terrace and the outdoor hot tub can be accessed directly from the bathroom wearing the provided bathrobes and slippers.

Try your private sauna and the outdoor hot tub in turns, the experience will make you feel totally relaxed and revitalised.

Sky View Cabin Double

Sky View Cabin Double consists of two individual cabins connected by 2 soundproof doors in between the 2 cabins which can be left open or closed based on preference. On one side is the equivalent space and amenities as in the Sky View Cabin Deluxe with an outdoor hot tub on the terrace and the other side is a cabin with a private sauna. Both sides are designed for 2 persons and the other side has the possibility of adding an extra bed for a 5th person or 2 children in the alcove behind a sliding door.

Pamper yourself with the luxury of a private sauna and enjoy the views of the starlit sky, hopefully colored by the appearance of the Northern Lights.

Location

Your accommodation is located deep in the quiet wilderness of the Lapland region, 20km from Levi.

The transfer time from Levi is around 20 mins and from Kittilä International Airport is approximately 30min.

Far north of the Arctic Circle, the area you’ll be staying in is a vast expanse of pristine pine forest that is home to bears, golden eagles, wolverines, and thousands of reindeer.

The restaurant, saunas, ice rink are all right in the resort, along with cosy cabins with electric fires and sky view windows. The cabins are surrounded by uninhabited fells and forests.

FAQs

When can I go?

This holiday runs from 13th November - 14th April.

Is Skiing an option in the area?

During the high season from December to March there is a complimentary shuttle service once per day to/from Levi Ski Resort, provided in the morning and in the afternoon. Ski passes and equipment hire can only be organised directly with the ski resort.

The accommodation option I have chosen doesn't include a sauna or hot tub, does the resort offer these facilities elsewhere?

There is an scenic sauna, outdoor hot tub and cold plunge tub on site for private hire. You can add this as an extra at time of booking.

Can children book onto this experience?

How far is the accommodation from the airport?

Your package includes return, private transfers from Kittila Airport which is approximately 30min from the resort.

Will thermal clothing be provided?

Yes, thermal clothing is provided on arrival at the resort and with your for the duration of your stay. What's Included:

No, none of the activities are private but will be in small groups. Private groups can be offered if your group size is larger than the maximum sizes enclosed below:
