What you'll do

Overview

A one-of-a-kind, five night getaway to the stunning corner of the winter wonderland that is Lapland, and experience an absolutely unforgettable journey for all the family.

You’ll be picked up from Kittila airport, and driven straight to your incredible accommodation for the six days, your accommodation, a cabin or a suite that has enough room for spending an evening together under the glass roof providing a view of the star-filled sky and the Northern Lights.

Delicious buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided in the elegant restaurant, where you can sit at the window and drink in the picturesque views at every meal.

During your stay, you have the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable experiences in awe-inspiring landscapes, including exhilarating snowmobile safaris, a reindeer sleigh ride, snow shoeing adventure and a heated sleigh ride to search for the northern lights. In amongst all the activity you will have time for some blissful relaxation at a nearby swimming pool and spa and of course pay a visit to Santa Claus in his magical wonderland. All activities are expertly organised, so that you can simply relax and enjoy as we take care of the details.

At the resort the team specialise in hunting and photographing the Northern Lights and a professional photographer will help you take the best possible photos of this incredible natural phenomenon.

Welcome to Aurora Country

Your Northern Lights adventure begins when we pick you up directly from Kittila Airport and transfer you into the Lappish wilderness, through pristine snow encrusted pine forest and snowy fells until we reach the resort.

Here, you’ll be shown to your private cabin. This stylish, elegant space will provide you with your base for the experience, and offers cosy warmth against the Arctic weather outside.

And of course, the glass roof means that you’ll have unobstructed views of the spectacular night sky and the jaw-dropping Northern Lights, all from the comfort of your bed.

After a delicious dinner, it’s time for your first expedition to spot the Northern Lights. Led by locals who are experts in spotting the natural phenomenon, you’ll venture into the wilderness by heated sleigh and take in the night skies in comfort.

 

Husky Rides

After breakfast, set out on a husky ride, swishing through the silent, snow-covered forest on your own private sleigh.

Meet these beautiful, energetic dogs that will take you exploring through the glistening Lapland wilderness, on a safari you are sure never to forget.

Searching for Santa

After breakfast, it is time for a magical experience for the children (large and small ) as you go in search of Santa in his own enchanted forest.

Day at the Pool!

Get ready for a day or relaxation and rejuvenation! You will take a short transfer to  a nearby luxury spa hotel where you can take advantage of the swimming pool, with a children’s section, jacuzzi, and of course the sauna.

 

 

 

 

Reindeer Express and cross country skiing lesson

Settle into the cosy warm sleigh and signal the reindeer – and hold on! You’ll get to see how Laplanders used to move around before snowmobiles arrived in the northern wilderness. Driving a reindeer sleigh through the wintry forest is an experience to remember!

Next you get to try out cross country skiing – another traditional way to get around on the soft winter snow, this time under your own steam.

 

Farewell

Your final morning, wake up at a leisurely time (check-out isn’t until 12 noon), and enjoy a final breakfast by the log fire as you reflect on the wonderful adventure you’ve had with us.

We’ll transfer you back to the airport, and look forward to seeing you again!

Aurora Cabin

Aurora Cabins are a magical way to experience the wintry star-filled sky and the Northern Lights, while lying comfortably in the warm bed. They are 29m2 with twin or double beds, an ensuite shower room and a sofa bed which can sleep 2 children or one adult comfortably. The glass roof is heated to ensure any snow melts so that you get a clear view of the night sky. There is free WiFi and an Aurora alarm.

Aurora Suite

The Aurora suites are great for larger families and also include a private sauna. They are spacious 44m2 rooms with a double bed plus a double sofa bed which can sleep up to 2 adults and one extra rollaway bed for a fifth person. There is an ensuite shower room and sauna, aurora alarm, free WIFI an electric fireplace and a tea and coffee making set. The glass roof is situated over the double bed, and is heated to ensure any snow melts so that you get a clear view of the night sky.

Your Northern Lights adventure begins when we pick you up directly from Kittilä Airport Airport and transfer you into the Lappish wilderness, through pristine snow encrusted pine forest and snowy fells until we reach your resort just outside Levi.

Here, you’ll be shown to your private cabin. The stylish, elegant accommodation will be your base for the experiences, and offers beautifully cosy warmth against the Arctic weather outside. On arrival you will be fitted with your cosy outerwear (snow suit and boots) ready for your adventure!

Relax and settle in, take a walk around with the crisp snow underfoot, take a toboggan and have some fun in the snow before your first dinner in Lapland.

Activity timings may differ slightly, your confirmed schedule will be given to you upon check in.
