What you'll do

Overview

Stay in a unique, first-class setting in the magical winter wonderland of Finnish Lapland. Visit Father Christmas, and meet the reindeer up close. Take a reindeer safari in the sparkling snow and try snowshoeing, then spend your evenings gazing in awe at the dark sky hoping to see the brilliant colours of the Aurora Borealis.

You’ll be picked up from Rovaniemi airport, and driven to your incredible accommodation for the 5 nights, your Taiga Forest Cabin; a two bedroom cabin that has enough room for a family to comfortably enjoy this magical wilderness, exploring by day and hoping to catch sight of the fabled Northern Lights.

Authentic, warming breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be provided in the elegant on site restaurant, where you can sit at the window and drink in the picturesque views at every meal.

During your stay, you have the opportunity to enjoy some unforgettable experiences in awe-inspiring landscapes, including a snowmobile safari, Reindeer safari and even meeting Santa Claus. All your activities are expertly organised, so that you can relax and enjoy as we take care of the details.

*Based on a family of 4 (2 Adults and 2 Children) travelling in April.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Escape to the Wilderness

When you touch down at Rovaniemi airport, you will pick up the bus to transfer you to the incredible resort Drive through the ethereal pine forest, and arrive at your very own luxury accommodation, nestled within the still, white trees.

Take some time to settle in, unpack, or explore, then we’ll welcome you for a dinner in the on site restaurant for a meal made with natural, local produce from the surrounding environment.

After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy. You can choose to relax in front of a roaring log fire or you could book an extra trip to go out and see the Northern Lights:

– Northern Lights Tour with Snowshoes – See the Northern Lights by Snowmobile

Then head back to your warm cabin for the night, lying under the ink-black sky, gazing upwards through the clear window to catch a glimpse of the incredible Northern Lights.

Husky Sled Ride

After a hearty breakfast, set out on a husky safari, swishing through the silent, snow-covered forest on your own private sleigh.

Meet these beautiful, energetic dogs that will take you exploring through the glistening  wilderness, on a safari you are sure never to forget.

After dinner, you’ll head out on another expedition, this time on a heated sleigh, to see if you can catch another glimpse of the stunning Northern Lights.

Activity timings may differ slightly, your confirmed schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Searching for Santa

After breakfast, it is time for a magical experience for the children (large and small ) as you go in search of Santa in his own enchanted forest. Meet the elves and prepare some cookies before a private visit with the man himself.

Activity timings may differ slightly, your confirmed schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Morning Sauna and hot tub session

Get ready for a morning of relaxation and recharge with the family. Start in the sauna, letting the warmth ease your muscles, then step into the hot tub to unwind together. A simple, refreshing way to start the day and enjoy some quiet time.

Activity timings may differ slightly, your confirmed schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Reindeer Express and cross country skiing lesson

Sit down into the sleigh and signal the reindeer – and hold on! You’ll get to see how Laplanders used to move around before snowmobiles arrived in the northern wilderness. Driving a reindeer sleigh through the wintry forest is an experience to remember!

Next you get to try out cross country skiing – another traditional way to get around through the winter snow – enjoy the landscape at your own pace.

Activity timings may differ slightly, your confirmed schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Farewell

Your final morning in the Lapland. Wake up at a leisurely time  (check-out isn’t until 12 noon), and enjoy a final breakfast by the log fire as you reflect on the wonderful adventure you’ve had with us.

We’ll transfer you back to the airport, and look forward to maybe seeing you again!

What our travellers are saying...

Fantastic experience. We joined a tour to find Santa in Finland and it was just perfect. The guides (elves!), reindeers, the whole experience was just superb. Obviously our 3 years old daughter was all around the place, but it felt really good for us adults - it spoke to our inner child. Spoiler: we've also found Santa's cabin. Recommended!

László

We went to Lapland - it is a must! Just the most magical, unforgettable experience with brilliant memories (and fantastic photos) to last a lifetime. My children loved it and I can’t wait to return - hopefully one day with their children.
