What you'll do

Overview

Head to the winter wonderland that is Lapland for an unforgettable wilderness adventure in Rovaniemi, where you will spend three nights exploring the frozen forest on husky safaris, get up close and personal with gentle reindeer, and witness nature's most spectacular light show - the Northern Lights.

Your adventure begins when you’re picked up by your private transfer from Rovaniemi Airport and are whisked directly to your beautiful accommodation for the duration of your stay. The Panorama Huts lie nestled in the quiet forest, with a floor to ceiling window providing views of the snowy woodland scenery and of the dark night sky above.

Spend three nights experiencing the best the region has to offer, by day experiencing the thrill of snowmobiling through the vast wilderness, by night relaxing with your view of the forest and of the beautiful Northern Lights drifting overhead.

You will also get to experience some truly authentic Lappish activities when you set out on husky safaris through the forest, and when you explore the region on a 3km reindeer ride, getting to understand these animals that have played a central part of the lives of the locals for centuries.

*Based on total cost, per family of 3 based on travel from 1st- 3rd Dec in a Panorama Hut.

A full example itinerary is detailed below, activity timings can differ slightly, your own personal schedule will be given to you upon check in.

Arrival Day

Your adventure begins when your private transfer meets you at Rovaniemi Airport to take you directly to your Lapland accommodation. Arrive at your Panorama Hut or Riverside Apartment, unpack and settle in to your surroundings.

Depending on how early you arrive, take some time to explore the site and the snowy forest, or simply relax and refresh after your journey before your evening meal at the site restaurant.

Explore the Wilderness by Husky Sled

On your first full day in the arctic wilderness, wake up to views of the still, snow-covered forest and fuel yourself up for your first adventure with a hearty breakfast at the restaurant.

Then, meet your guide for an unforgettable journey through this beautiful landscape of frozen rivers and vast fells behind a team of endlessly energetic huskies.

The locals in this region have been using dog sleds as a means of transport for millennia, so not only is this an opportunity to meet some incredibly cute huskies and explore the area, but it also gives you a taste of some authentic Lappish culture.

Spend the rest of your time exploring the site or simply relaxing in your panorama cabin, before settling in for a night of keeping an eye on the perfectly dark sky in wait for the aurora borealis.

Reindeer Experience and Snowmobile

Today, your day will centre around an animal that has played an absolutely central part in the lives of the locals for as long as humans have settled in Lapland.

Settle back in a sleigh as these gentle animals take you on a journey through the snow-covered trees, before enjoying a hot drink in a teepee where you’ll learn all there is to know about reindeer and how they are so important to the Lappish people.

Then, enjoy the thrill of speeding across snow covered fells and crashing through snow drifts as you follow your expert guide off the beaten track and into the heart of aurora country.

After a few breaks for a hot drink and for a chance to snap some pictures, head back to the resort for a final afternoon of relaxation your last night of watching for the Northern Light.

Departure Day

Wake up on your final morning to views of the snowy forest, then enjoy a final breakfast before checking out of your accommodation.

We hope that you have had an unforgettable few days with us in Lapland, and leave with precious memories of this once-in-a-lifetime destination.
