Overview

Escape to the Winter wonderland that is Lapland and enjoy a 3 night adventure in this stunning village of glass roofed igloos and luxury suites. Create lasting memories on a husky adventure, reindeer journey and fingers crossed you spot one of the wonders of the world, the northern lights!

Meet your driver at the airport and your luxury Resort is only 15 minutes away! Situated in the middle of authentic Lappish nature, you will feel like you’re in Narnia.

One of the highlights of the trip will be the 2 hour Husky Adventure. Meet the stunning and friendly pack of Huskies. Stroke them, pose for photos and listen to stories of the most loved animals of the North. Enjoy a 1 hour safari and see how much the huskies love pulling you through the white-scape of forest trails and hills. You’ll have the novel opportunity to be the “musher”, steering and controlling the huskies yourself!

The Adventure doesn’t stop there… take in in amazing views during your Reindeer Journey. Travel through the snowy forests on a reindeer sleigh and experience traditional arctic transport as a part of your family Lapland holiday! You’ll be surrounded the stunning Lappish nature as the reindeer go at a peaceful pace through the white forests.  Step off the sled knowing far more about the history of reindeer and herders in Finnish Lapland than you knew before! You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your tranquil surroundings. Perhaps sip a hot drink and light snack by an open fire.

This once in a life time experience includes unique accommodation with stunning panoramic views of the sky from your very own bed, perfect for glimpsing the Northern Lights!

You’ll also have the option to add on an amazing Snowmobile Safari to Santa Claus Village, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus himself! This activity includes a snowmobile ride, a delicious lunch, and time to spend wandering around the shops of Santa Claus Village. This activity must be selected as an extra at check-out.

Welcome to Lapland!

Located on the last frontier, where Rovaniemi city ends and the outback begins, the resort welcomes you for an adventure to remember! Amidst the embrace of two remote lakes at the edge of unspoilt wilderness, this resort offers unique accommodation options.

Meet your driver at the airport and after 10-15 minutes drive, we will arrive to the stunning Resort. Check in to your accommodation and spend some time to enjoying the beautiful snowy views before dinner.

Lunch & dinner buffets will be served in restaurant where you will enjoy Nordic cuisine with modern twist and delicious locally produced ingredients. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served  buffet style in this elegant setting, with views out over the snowy landscape and a roaring fire to keep you cosy.

After a delicious dinner, retreat back to your cosy accommodation for a good nights sleep under the stars!

Husky Adventure

Meet our howling furry friends, the huskies, on this daytime adventure, including an hour-long safari!

Huskies are one of the most loved animals of the North, and you will understand why when you meet the pack. You can pet them, take photos with them and listen to stories about their lives. Witness them loving their job as they pull you across trails in the forests  The highlight of the day is when you get to be the musher yourself, controlling the pack of huskies pulling your sled!

The rest of the day is up to you with many possibilities! Choose from another activity such as horse sleigh, snowmobiling or ice-fishing, or  If you’d prefer to chill out then why not try one of the sauna experiences. They range from a sauna carriage, lakeside sauna, to Arctic bath experience! There are also Northern Lights tours available on foot or by vehicle.

 

A Reindeer Journey

Today you will take a ride back in time as you travel through the snowy forests on a reindeer sleigh. This traditional, arctic way of transportation allows you to experience the peace and purity of the Lappish nature. Following a leisurely pace, our reindeer will lead you on a magical journey through the forests. Enjoy the silence of the woods and the still atmosphere.

Afterwards it’s time to relax with a hot drink and light snack by an open fire. You will return from this trip knowing a lot more about the life of the reindeer and the reindeer herders in Finnish Lapland.

You may like to spend the rest of your day visiting Santa’s Village which is just 15 minutes away. This is where Santa Clause lives and works with his elves. You can visit the post office and even see the man himself.

Departure

It is time to say goodbye to Lapland. Take the last deep breaths of fresh air and save the magical moments with us in your memory. After check out, you will be transferred back to the airport.

Optional activities

Snowmobile Safari to Santa Claus Village (6hrs): This exciting snowmobile safari takes you through a snowy forest from the resort to Santa Claus Village, where you’ll meet Santa, enjoy a delicious lunch, browse for gifts, and send postcards with Arctic Circle stamps from Santa’s post office. Adults can drive the snowmobile, while children ride in a cosy, covered sled. The tour provides winter clothing, snowmobile driving lessons, the ride, lunch, and the unforgettable experience of meeting Santa Claus!

Snowmobile Safari into the Wilderness (2hrs): Discover the Arctic like never before on a snowmobile adventure through frost-covered forests and frozen marshlands. Immerse yourself in the breath-taking scenery and pause to enjoy a hot drink in the peaceful silence. This journey goes beyond adventure, offering a deep connection to the serene beauty of the Arctic and a chance to escape into a world of snowy dreams.

Reindeer Ride to Santa through the Magic Forest (2hrs): Journey into the heart of the Magical Forest, where Santa’s secret hut awaits, guided by eager reindeer on a delightful sleigh ride. Along the way, playful elves entertain you with festive antics, and after enjoying warm drinks and cookies, they invite you to join a Christmassy workshop. Finally, you’ll have a private family meeting with Santa himself, and he may even have a small surprise for you! This enchanting experience includes the reindeer sleigh ride, a gift for each guest, guiding, and delicious snacks.

These excursions are an additional activity that you will be able to add on at checkout.

An ideal option for families eager to witness the Northern Lights!

Aurora Cabin Family glass igloos we designed with families and groups of friends in mind. They comfortably sleep 2+4 guests, providing the ideal home base for your Arctic adventures. Lie on your bed and enjoy unobstructed views of the night sky with its endless stars and many wonders. The cabins are situated right at the shore of Lake Olkkajärvi, allowing you to also relish stunning lake views

In addition to a plush king-size bed, you’ll find a 160 cm wide double bed in a separate alcove, along with a convertible sofa that transforms into a 140 cm wide bed. For added convenience, the igloo features a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as climate-controlled air conditioning.

As you might expect in Finnish Lapland, the story of our Resort started from ice, and the first people living in the area were Sámi. They lived  in small communities as nomads, following the fish and game along the coast and  inland.

What are the meal options?

During your stay lunch* and dinner will be included each in a buffet setting at beautiful Restaurant Aitta.
*Lunch is not included on arrival and departure day

Surrounded by the history and tales of the 100-year-old timber log walls, Restaurant Aitta transports you to a rustic time of mystical stories and the legends of Lapland. Tastefully decorated and featuring a large fireplace and a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and Lake Olkka, Restaurant Aitta specialises in experiences – both on your plate and within its four walls. Enjoy a meal and allow your senses to surrender to the delicious aromas of the Lapland.

The local shores were bustling with fishermen in the olden days, providing a bounty of deliciousness that we have incorporated into our present-day menus. The surrounding forests, full of berries and mushrooms, injected elements of colour and texture that made every meal nourishing to the body and comforting for the soul. The old tavern that once stood here hosted travelers from all around the country and world, always providing a place of comfort where the food was always hardy and plentiful, and the glasses were never empty.

At the Resort, we honour the past and cherish the traditions of old times. Serving delicious, Nordic cuisine, Restaurant Aitta has blended classic flavours and ingredients with a contemporary flair, using as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible.

What are check-in / check-out timings?

Check-In will be starting from 16.00 until 22.30pm on the day of your arrival.
Check-Out will be starting from 7.30 until 12.00am on the day of departure.
In case of room change same times apply.

Late Arrival: In case you are arriving later than 22.00, please inform us well in advance. Otherwise we cannot ensure that check-in will be available.

Are transfers included?

Yes! You will be collected from and dropped off at Rovaniemi Airport.

What activities are included and how long are they?

Any other activities/experiences will have additional costs

What is the age for a child?

The age for children packages are 4-15.

If your child is age 0-3 please note that they can travel free of charge, however this is based upon your child sharing a bed with an Adult.

If you would like a cot for your child, there is a small fee. Please request this on booking.

If you would like a bed for your child aged 0-3, you must add them to your booking as a child.

Are all the activities suitable for children?

It is not recommended that children under 4 are taken on husky rides or snowmobiles as it gets extremely cold!

Also the Northern Lights activities are not suitable for young children.

What happens if I have to cancel the booking?

Depending on when you travel, will depend on the cancellation charges that will apply -

Travel from 21st November – 8th January:
Prior to 90 Days – 25% of Travel Arrangement/Package
90 Days or less (date not included) – 100% of Travel Arrangement/Package

Outside of these date the cancellation terms will apply as follows:

Prior to 90 Days – loss of deposit
Prior to 60 days (date not included) – 25% of Travel Arrangement/Package
60 Days or less (date not included) – 100% of Travel Arrangement/Package

I would like to travel later in December but its not showing as available?

Yes, unfortunately this package is not available from 20th December to end of December. We do have specific experiences selling for this period and inks can be found in the overview description.

Will there be snow?

In November/early December there’s a chance that the snow fall may be light or even late. There will usually be a thick layer of snow throughout late December, January and February, and still some remaining come March. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee nor predict the snow fall.
