What you'll do

Overview

Relax and unwind during yoga lessons then go discover yoga philosophy, nature and gastronomy in Provence on this fantastic activity filled break based in Saint-Jeannet; arrival is on Sunday evening and departure on Saturday morning (6 nights / 7 days).

2025 Dates – this experience week starts on Sundays each month between April and November –  please see the calendar.

This wonderful yoga, nature and personal development holiday is based in a small village on the border of Provence and the Cote D’Azur, regions renowned for panoramic landscapes, coastal and mountain views and rich history.

You’ll stay in the medieval village of Saint-Jeannet for your  6 night / 7 day yoga holiday combined with guided activities and workshops. This tranquil location sets the scene for your twice daily yoga lessons designed to energise you in the morning and unwind and relax in the evening.

Through daily yoga and meditation practice, as well as outdoor activities and workshops, you will be able to reconnect with your body and mind. Every session is an opportunity to practise being mindful: to come back to yourself, connect to the here and now, become more present… and discover who you truly are and what you really want in life. We hope you will take the retreat with you and use the tools you’ve gathered here to stay connected to your own inner sense of peace, joy, and love, which are always there, because they are you. Our retreats are suitable for all abilities, and our teachers are experts at delivering sessions suited to the needs and abilities of the guests of each week, who come with a variety of age and experience.

During the week, there will be two communication workshops, one shared plant-based French gastronomy workshop with a professional chef and meditation sessions. You will also be able to enjoy a cooking class followed by dinner with a professional French chef.  There is a weekly set schedule which will bring you new experiences and exploration, with everything from hiking to shared cooking and food, you’ll have yoga as well as  free time to take part in massage treatments or simply explore the region.

Typical activities include a wonderful hike to get a 360 degree panoramic view over the Mediterranean sea, the French Riviera, and even stopping for a refreshing swim in the local waterfalls and freshwater ponds! On another day, you will end up off the beaten track on a meditation walk.

In your free time you can enjoy walking toward a 1000 year old oak tree, or perhaps finishing the day rambling to a local vineyard to enjoy some wine tastings.

Have an after dinner wander down the medieval cobbles and see where you end up for the sunset.

IMPORTANT: please note on following dates the whole experience will be spoken in French – see the FQA for more details.

What our travellers are saying...

I was fortunate enough to have a week at the Frog's House in August and it was a welcome respite from a challenging year during the pandemic. Benoit and the team take care of everything with great care and attention. The room had a beautiful view across the valley towards the sea and the yoga studio looked on to the mountain tops. There was delicious healthy food and a full program that you could engage with, or step out of if you wanted a more l

Had an amazing time at the frogs house. The views are spectacular and has all the amenities you would ever need. The yoga was suitable for all levels, and as a beginner i found it very spiritual and testing physically but always felt amazing after. The food gave a real taste of French culture and was all locally sourced, delicious! Also really enjoyed the trips and the hosts felt more like friends rather than tour guides. Please find below some information regarding the accommodation and location of the holiday which may be useful when deciding if this is the right holiday for you; should you have an further questions, please contact us and we will be happy to help

The holiday is based in a mountain village with steps, narrow streets and guests stay in n old village house built over 4 floors without a lift

There is no accessibility for wheelchairs at this venue. If a person is able to walk but has 'some' restrictions then we would need further information concerning their needs and would be very honest if we felt the person could not participate in the activity holidays.

Wine from the village vineyard is included with three of the dinners and at the picnic lunch. At all other times, it is available for purchase at cost price.

Meals are made with as far as possible organic and local ingredients. We encourage, but are not dogmatic about, a plant-based diet, and are happy to introduce you to some options: for example, we make our own yoghurt daily with vegetal alternatives to cow’s milk, and at some breakfasts we will cook you omelettes and other delights without their common animal-based ingredients. We will of course also serve French cheeses, pastries, etc. on particular days, and if requested by guests, more often.

If you have dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking

Eating in the local area

You will be happy to find lots of places to grab a bite to eat: 4 restaurants, 1 grocery store and 1 butcher, 1 bakery, 2 cafés/pubs
