Overview

Enjoy 5 days in iconic Santorini and 5 days in picturesque Crete. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip, You will get the chance to embark on a boat tour, go snorkelling and taste the amazing local food and wine, which makes for the perfect trip to Greece!

Santorini is famous for its volcanic beaches, breath taking scenery and amazing locally grown wine. Rethymnon, Crete is one of the most picturesque cities in Greece, surrounded by blue-flag beaches and small traditional Cretan villages.

You will stay in stunning boutique hotels and take tours to see the authentic side of these popular destinations. Getting off the beaten track and having a truly unforgettable holiday.

Experience the famous Santorini sunset, sail the Aegean Sea by catamaran with stops to snorkel and see the amazing sea life, taste traditional Greek cuisine and local wines and visit some of Crete’s most famous beaches.

Arrival in Santorini

Upon arrival at Santorini international airport, you will be greeted by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel.

After checking in to the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to relax on the beach and enjoy your first taste of the Greek sun.

Catamaran Cruise in Santorini with lunch

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Ammoudi where you will embark on a wonderful Catamaran* day experience.

You start by sailing to visit the natural hot springs which are heated by the volcano. See stunning views and experience the warm thermal waters. Then, you’ll sail past Aspronisi, Indian rock and Black mountain and have chance to stop and take pictures of the amazing scenery.

You will visit the secluded areas of White beach and Mesa Pigadia and enjoy cooling off with a  swim or snorkel in the clear blue ocean, before a barbecue on board as you soak in those sea rays.

After lunch, you will sail to Red beach for more swimming and you will end your trip at the port of Vlychada.

Free day in Santorini

Today you will have a free day to do whatever you want in Santorini, relax by the pool, take a walk to the nearby sandy beach, or try one of the nearby cafes or bars. It’s completely up to you!

E-Bike Tour

The tour starts with a short tour of the Tomato Industrial Museum.

Along the way, admire the Black beach on the coastline of Perivolos and then you will go up to the village of Emporio to learn some secrets about the village’s Kasteli.

Then through the wine roads, you will drive to Megalochori to admire the unique view of the caldera that will take your breath away. You will continue along the caldera to the village of Akrotiri, where you will visit the Punta cafe for a tasty and refreshing break.

Finally, after a relaxing break, you will cycle through the vineyards.

After this, you will be transferred back to your hotel for an evening of relaxation.

Free day in Santorini

Today is a free day, take the time to relax or head out to see more of the island, today is your last day here before you leave for Crete tomorrow.

Transport from Santorini to Crete

After you check-out from your hotel, we will transfer you to the port to take the boat to Crete.

On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

You will have the rest of the day free to relax and start to discover Rethymnon.

Wine and Olive Oil Tasting with lunch

Your first stop this morning you will explore Cretan Olive oil

Kanakis modern Olive oil factory and its experts will welcome you and share their knowledge concerning olive oil production process. Upon arrival you will meet an ancient olive tree, standing there for over hundreds of years, gifting generously its olives to locals and visitors. After a few steps, we are inside the facility, where the innovative olive mill will be waiting for you; but, no need to rush! Enjoy a traditional Greek coffee or some fresh juice first. The calm and quiet atmosphere of this little coffee corner inside the facility is just ideal to relax and take a moment before we start our informative tour. The experts will walk you step by step through the production process. Of course after that, they won’t let us leave without offering us a taste of their exquisite virgin olive oil!

Your second stop you will taste unique Cretan Wine

After a 10 minute drive you will reach one of the best wineries of the region, to learn – and taste – everything concerning the Cretan wine. There, we will enjoy a 30-40 minute tour, during which you will learn about the history, tradition, the latest developments in the production of wine and of course all information on the particular characteristics of the Cretan “terroir”. Enjoy the guided tour of the cellar, with the strong smell of wooden barrels and maturing wine. After the tour, you will continue to the wine tasting room, where we’ll be able to taste five types of Cretan wine and train our palates on the delicious wine paths! Try assyrtiko, vidiano, malvazia and other varieties amongst the best of Crete. Of course, mezedes like traditional paximadia and olives couldn’t be missing from this tasting journey.

Finally you will visit either the small and beautiful village of Nipos or Vryses, depending on the weather and the day, in order to end your tour on a tasteful note. In Nipos, you will enjoy all the amazing plates in the menu with a side dish of a spectacular mountain view thanks to the position of the taverna. In Vryses you will take lunch surrounded by the idyllic scenery of the running waters under the shade of tall trees.

Rethymnon Sunset Safari Tour and Dinner

After a relaxing day by the pool or at the beach, you’ll be collected for your evening tour.

Beginning from Rethymnon centre and heading inland through traditional villages and less travelled mountain routes. The premium off-road vehicles* are driven by local expert guides who will ensure you enjoy the best service and go to the best viewpoints for a wonderful panoramic sunset view of Rethymnon from above. Off-road routes, wild and dense vegetation, rugged, remote mountainside, a unique panoramic view of the Potamon dam and the mountains make amazing off-road sunset safari.

You’ll drive through the traditional Cretan villages of Pigi, Adelle, Sain Dimitrios, Holy Trinity, and Harkia and climb up to reach an amazing view point at 650m above sea level for  the best panoramic view of the dam, and to capture great photos.

You’ll continue on to a small family-owned tavern for a tasting platter of Cretan local dishes accompanied by a glass of local wine, before driving back to Rethymnon.

Today is a free day, explore the city some more, visit one of the  a local restaurants or coffee shops, or relax on the beach.

Location

You will begin your island hopping holiday arriving into Santorini Airport. This iconic volcanic island is rich with vegetation, crystal clear water with some great spots for snorkelling, and wonderful food and wine. You will enjoy amazing cuisine and wine made from native grapes grown in the island’s volcanic soil.

Next you will head over to Crete. Known for its amazing beaches, rugged mountains, beautiful landscape and clear blue sea. Experience the local cuisine on your food and wine tour, see stunning views on a jeep safari  and relax in your boutique hotel. You will fly out of Crete to return home.
