You’ll be picked up from your accommodation, and then head south to the picturesque village of St. Mathias. A short stroll through the village will take you to the traditional, internationally award-winning olive press of the Governor, which has been in use for over three generations.
You’ll get the chance to explore the olive grove with its ancient trees and learn about the different harvesting practices on-site, followed by a visit to the olive press to begin your olive oil tasting experience.
You’ll quickly realise that for the Dafnis family, olive oil is treated like gold! With the help of your guide, you’ll be able to distinguish the multiple grades of olive oil through the flavours, colour and textures of the Corfiot extra virgin olive oil. To accompany your tasting, there will be a variety of carefully paired seasonal and locally produced products.
After your visit to Governor’s olive oil press, you will have free time to enjoy a stroll through the beautiful historical town of Corfu.
