What you'll do

Overview

Discover the land of fire and ice on an unforgettable four day adventure in Iceland, where each day promises new wonders and experiences. Spend three nights in Reykjavik, immersing yourself in its vibrant culture.

You’ll explore the famous Golden Circle, visiting mighty geysers, including the world famous ”Geysir”, and the jaw-dropping Gulfoss waterfall. A rush of water cascading into a mighty gorge, this is a serious sight to remember on your south Iceland adventure.

Indulge in relaxation at Sky Lagoon with its seven step bathing  ritual, offering rejuvenation amidst geothermal waters and stunning views. All your transfers are included, ensuring a seamless journey through Iceland’s enchanting landscapes and unforgettable moments of awe and inspiration.

In the evening you will set off for a cruise to search for the Northern Lights around Faxaflói bay, far from the light pollution of the city, where the dancing colours of the Aurora Borealis illuminate the Arctic sky.

By the time you are heading back to Keflavik, you can be certain that you will have seen the highlights of southern Iceland in a unique way, discovered a number of hidden gems, and have got to know the local side to this addictive island on a totally immersive holiday in Iceland.

Arrival Day

Land in Keflavik International airport, where you will be met and taken directly to your accommodation in the city centre for the duration of your holiday.

Take some time to settle in, unpack or explore the city. You can enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the many fine restaurants there are to choose from.

Golden Circle Tour

Today you will take the opportunity to explore Thingvellir National Park, a site of immense historical and geological significance. This is where Iceland’s parliament, the Althing, was founded in 930 A.D. Each year, until Danish colonial rule, around 30 ruling chiefs convened here to discuss the island’s laws. Thingvellir also marks the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, allowing us to literally walk between continents.

Next, you will visit Efstidalur dairy farm, where you can savour their organic, homemade ice cream. The farm offers stunning views of Mount Hekla and the chance to interact with Icelandic cows, horses, and dogs, making it a fantastic family-friendly stop with breathtaking scenery.

The Geysir geothermal area is your next highlight, where you’ll marvel at the Strokkur geyser erupting every five minutes. Following this, you’ll head to the thundering Gullfoss waterfall, a powerful and mesmerizing natural wonder that tops many must-see lists.

A delicious lunch (not included) at Friðheimar tomato farm will refresh you before you continue the journey.

Your day will conclude with a visit to Kerið crater lake, nestled within a 3,000-year-old caldera. The vibrant colors of Kerið are truly stunning, offering a perfect end to your day exploring the Golden Circle.

Duration: approximately 9 hours

After the relaxing day at the spa you will go hunting the auroras on a boat cruise. This unique experience combines the beauty of Iceland’s natural wonders with the magic of the Aurora Borealis.

Set sail from Reykjavik’s harbour and venture into the open waters, away from the city’s lights, for the best chance to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights.
