Enjoy this 5 night crochet retreat in Tuscany. All inclusive stay in a luxury villa with amazing views of the tuscan countryside. Immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings as you perfect your crochet project in the sun.

Join crochet experts Emma and Marina on this all inclusive 5 night luxury crochet retreat. Indulge in your favourite hobby whilst taking in the best that Tuscany has to offer. Visit the marble caves at Carrera, take a guided walk of the beautiful town of Lucca, enjoy outdoor crochet sessions and a Puccini concert. You’ll also visit iconic Florence and enjoy a city crochet session there.

You will connect with like minded individuals sharing your passion for crochet and make new friends with whom to exchange ideas. On the retreat you will learn from each other as well as being guided by your skilled tutors to create amazing handmade items to share with friends and family, great memories of your time in Tuscany!

In between your crochet workshops and fabulous excursions you’ll relax in the stunning villa and take in breathtaking views of the rolling Tuscan hills.

All meals at the villa are catered by a private chef and you will enjoy delicious chef made lunches and dinners including a pizza festival and a final night fiesta gala dinner.

 

Arrival

Upon arrival in Italy, you will be met by your driver.

Once you have checked in and unpacked, we will gather for a relaxed afternoon crochet workshop in the villa. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious authentic dinner prepared by the private chef, paired with some excellent Italian wine.

After dinner, there will be you will have time to relax and unwind.

Accommodation:

Villa Selva – The 350 year old rustic Tuscan style farmhouse is located on the panoramic hill of Pieve Santo Stefano overlooking the town of Lucca. The spacious villa has a large outdoor pool and loungers for you to relax on during your free time if the weather is good. In the middle of the rolling Italian hills, there is no better place for a crochet retreat.

 

 

Outdoor Workshop and Wine Tasting

After breakfast,  get ready for the first session of the day which will be an outdoor workshop with breathtaking views of the hills of Lucca.

Lunch will be prepared by the private chef at around 1pm after which we will continue to work on our morning project before heading out together.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy a visit to Fabbrica San Martino, a bio-dynamic winery for a wine tasting. Learn some more about Italian wine and how to pair it perfectly with food. Following this, we head back to villa where a 3 course Tuscan dinner and some more wine awaits.

Walking Tour and City Crochet Session

After breakfast, we will start our morning crochet session and then  head out on a guided walking tour of Lucca. Learn more about the area’s history and culture and even get to enjoy an authentic lunch in the town.

We will bring our projects along on this walk to allow us to do an afternoon crochet session in one of the town’s picturesque locations.

In the evening, you will get to enjoy a world renowned Puccini concert which takes places in a beautiful Romanesque church. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the best local restaurants in Lucca, making a great end to a wonderful day.

Crocheting in Florence

After breakfast, we will head straight out to the vibrant city of Florence. You will have some time to see the best sights that the city has to offer including time to browse in  Campolmi Filati -a wonderful yarn shop! –  and to enjoy some of the more well known sights of Florence.

We will head back to the villa in the early evening to freshen up and prepare for a pizza festival!

Crocheting

After a later breakfast, you will have a morning crochet workshop to finish up your projects, and then  lunch at the villa  before our final session of the trip.

The afternoon session will include a showcase of the groups work over prosecco and appetisers.

You will then enjoy the final evening with a dinner fiesta whilst watching the sunset over the hills of Lucca.

Departure Day

After breakfast, you will check out and enjoy your last moments in the villa before your transport takes you to the train station or airport. We bid you farewell with your wonderful crochet pieces and memories of Tuscany.

Location

This retreat will take place just outside the historic city of Lucca. Surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards the villa is located perfectly to allow for you to soak in the tranquility of the Italian countryside whilst also being close enough to Lucca, and Florence for you to visit and and appreciate those beautiful cities.

The Serchio River runs through this region and paired with the climate it allows for the region to be in a great location for wine production as you will learn on your retreat.
