This traditional Italian ‘Cioccolatissimo’ recipe comes from our incredible hosts at their gourmet cookery school in the heart of the Tuscany, so there’s not better place to find an authentic recipe for this traditional Italian dish.

Serves 4 people.
Ingredients
• 200 g bitter chocolate
• 200 g butter
• 4 egg whites beaten to stiff peaks
• 50 g flour
• 150 g sugar
Directions
First, melt the chocolate and butter in a double saucepan. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 150°C.
While the butter and chocolate are melting, mix the sugar, egg yolks and the flour in a bowl.
Then, add the chocolate/butter mixture to the sugar, flour, and egg mixture.
Stir all of this together until well mixed.
For the final step, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks and fold them into the mixture.
Bake for 35 minutes in an oven at temperature 150°C.
Serving Suggestions
This light but chocolate-filled dessert is a great end to any meal. It can be made a day or so in advance, but is best served warm… who doesn’t love some melting chocolate?
