Hulhumale, North Male Atoll, provides the ideal base as a start or finishing point to a holiday. There are plenty of local coffee shops, restaurants and a small local shopping area. The public beach on the east side of the island is an endless stretch of sand ideal for swimming or to just sit and watch the world go by.
Guraidhoo in South Male Atoll, it is a typical fishing island with just over two thousand inhabitants, it has sandy roads and palm trees and here you will see locals going about their daily routine; drinking coffee in the many small coffee shops and children playing simple games in the street. Sit and watch the sunset alongside the locals on the public beach or kick back in a traditional seat called a ‘joali’ and watch the world slowly pass by.
Guraidhoo is a regular stopping point for safari boats and there are a handful of souvenirs shops, local restaurants and coffee shops, offering an insight in to the ‘real Maldives’.
Maafushi was once typical Maldivian local island but tourism has grown here in recent years. There are two beaches on opposite sides of the island, one of which is a tourist bikini beach, plenty of hotels and guest houses and a variety of cafes and restaurants all giving the island more of a tourist buzz.
Immerse yourself in the daily rhythm of island living, from delicious local cuisine to hands-on participation in environmental projects. Balancing adventure with relaxation, enjoy watersports and guided trips together with precious moments of tranquility against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean. This immersive tour promises an unparalleled blend of cultural enrichment, environmental awareness, and the sheer bliss of the Maldivian paradise.
