Nestled on Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast, Agadir is the beach paradise that’s perfect for sun-seekers and cultural enthusiasts alike! Rebuilt after a devastating earthquake in 1960, Agadir now boasts a laid-back vibe that sets it apart from the bustling medinas of Marrakech or Fez.

Let’s talk beaches – Agadir’s golden stretch of sand is its crown jewel. Spanning 9 kilometres, this crescent-shaped beach is perfect for sunbathing, water sports, or simply strolling along the shore. The promenade buzzes with cafes, restaurants, and shops, making it a great spot for people-watching in that laid-back way the locals do.

But Agadir isn’t just about beach life. History buffs, don’t miss the Kasbah, perched on a hill overlooking the city. While mostly in ruins, it offers stunning panoramic views and a glimpse into Agadir’s past. For a taste of local culture, head to the Souk El Had. This sprawling market is where locals shop, and you’ll find everything from spices and traditional crafts to modern goods. It’s a great place to practise your haggling skills!
