Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Douro Valley, where you can explore the mountains and vineyard sceneries, a beautiful river and charming typical architecture of the valley.
You will be picked up from your hotel or accommodation in the city of Porto at between 08:00 and 8:30am. Your guide will introduce themselves and you will be told about the day to come.
The main focus of this tour is around the wineries visits and tastings: you will be visiting three small local wineries, one in the morning and two in the afternoon, before coming back to Porto. At two of the wineries you will be in company of an expert local guide who will guide you through the facilities and tell you about the wine making process as you taste their selected wines.
At the third, you will experience a selected wine tasting while they explain more about the wines.
At lunch we’ll stop in the village of Pinhão, a historical village in the heart of Douro, where lunch takes place at a traditional local restaurant of typical Portuguese food, which may include a meal of fish, meat or vegetarian (we can also accommodate your meal if you have a gluten free diet – just let us know in advance).
We’ll also make small stops for taking pictures and admire the surroundings and nature at local viewpoints during the day!
We’ll return for 6pm, and we’re sure you’ll have the most amazing experience in an unforgettable destination.
