What you'll do

Discover the beauty of Portugal’s only national park on this full-day small-group tour from Porto. Hike through stunning mountains, enjoy breathtaking views, and explore mesmerizing waterfalls while learning about the local flora and fauna. Our expert guides ensure a safe and enriching experience. Take a break with a traditional picnic at one of Gerês' iconic viewpoints, surrounded by incredible scenery.

Our Peneda-Gerês National Park Tour is carefully crafted to showcase the park’s most breathtaking spots, with our knowledgeable guides sharing insights into the local traditions, flora, and fauna along the way.

Established in 1971, the park spans 70,000 hectares and remains the only one of its kind in Portugal. In 2009, it earned the prestigious status of a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, further strengthening the protection of its unique natural beauty. These factors ensure the park is filled with hidden gems and scenic locations that you’ll have the chance to discover with us.

Throughout the day, you’ll visit key landmarks, with the itinerary tailored to the season to provide the best possible experience. From stunning waterfalls perfect for a refreshing swim to the Pedra Bela Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the entire landscape, there’s plenty to see and do.

Our local guides will lead you through this natural wonderland, ensuring your safety while providing an enjoyable adventure. A picnic in a secluded, idyllic spot is also included! Born and raised in the delightful city of Porto, apart from a two year stint living in Scotland in my younger days, I have lived in Portugal all my life. When I was around 35, myself and a couple of my travelling friends (one of which is my brother), decided to set up our company. We set out scouting Portugal, visiting the places no one visits, meeting people, exploring landscapes discovering all these authentic towns. We know the country like the back of our hands, so when you go on one of our experiences you get an experts insight and learn so much more than you would visiting alone.
