This 3 day unique wellness experience will help you relax your body and mind, in this beautiful and remote quirky hideaway in the Scottish countryside.

Escape for a soul-rejuvenating weekend getaway at Loch Lomond’s enchanting Sheepy Sleepover Retreat. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the Scottish countryside and embrace the therapeutic company of adorable Herdwick sheep, Dougal and Lochie. Experience holistic health tips and mindful interactions with these snuggly sheep and their adorable lambs.

Throughout your stay, you’ll embark on a journey of wellness and wholesome living, guided by expert yoga and mindfulness instructors who will lead you through mindful practices and refreshing activities. Get some time to relax in the evenings, as you nestle in the retreat with a cosy wood burner, witness breath taking sunsets and gaze at the sparkling stars.

Important: The retreat runs on a minimum of 2 participants. They will accept solo travellers on this break, however the host reserves the right to cancel the retreat if the minimum booking numbers aren’t reached.

Arrival

Upon arrival at the Sheepy Sleepover Retreat at any time after 2pm, you will be greeted by the instructors (and of course the sheep) to your new home for the next couple of nights.

Once settled, you will take part in your first yoga class, a mindful workout and Vinyasa Yoga session. These sessions  help you de-stress and relax, whilst helping you focus on controlling your body and mind. With the backdrop being the beautiful Loch Lomond, there’s no better place for a yoga retreat!

Then you will have the chance to relax before enjoying a homemade pizza made in the outdoor oven and chatting about what you can do to get the most out of this relaxing weekend. You will also get the chance to learn about the local area around Loch Lomond, as well as the culture and traditions from the local experts helping you out over the weekend.

Following dinner, a mandatory star gaze and a cup of hot chocolate, it will be time to unwind for the evening and head to bed before another day in Sheepy paradise.

 

Full Day around Loch Lomond

Today is packed with an exciting itinerary, starting in the morning with a manifestation meditation with Pranayama. Combine the ancient practice of meditation and the profound breathing technique of Pranayama to unlock the power of manifestation within you.

After breakfast, you will get the chance to take part in some sheep therapy in the barn with de-stress techniques. These cuddly and loving animals will help to lift away all worries of everyday life, leaving you feeling rejuvenated. Don’t be surprised if they join you as sheep often respond to the energy of meditation and often join you!

Following this, you will embark on an Loch Lomond Isle trip, where you will explore some of the isles on Loch Lomond. On top of this, experience the freeing sensation of forest bathing.

To tie off this exciting and relaxing day, you will get to indulge in a traditional dinner in a warm and cosy Scottish pub before heading back to the retreat.

 

Yoga and adventure

Your day will start with breakfast and an expertly led Hatha Yoga session that seamlessly blend gentle asanas, soothing breathwork, and mindful meditation. Feel the rejuvenating energy flow through you as you connect with the serenity of the surrounding nature.

Following this, you will have the choice of a few activities to fill your afternoon with excitement and adventure.

Stirling Castle Exploration: Immerse yourself in Scotland’s rich history with a visit to the iconic Stirling Castle. Discover ancient stories as you stroll through its grand halls and picturesque gardens, making the past come alive before your eyes.

Loch Katrine Cruise: Embark on a serene cruise across the shimmering waters of Loch Katrine. Marvel at the tranquil beauty of the surrounding mountains and forests, feeling a sense of calm wash over you with every gentle ripple.

Mountain Climb Adventure: For the adventurous souls, a guided mountain climb awaits! Conquer the rugged terrains and be rewarded with awe-inspiring panoramic views of Loch Lomond’s vast expanse and the distant peaks.

You then spend the afternoon having a traditional high tea with a twist. Served in the meadow, your afternoon tea will be hosted by none other than the whimsical and unpredictable Herdwicks! In this enchanting and light-hearted setting, enjoy the charming antics of these mischievous sheep, whose appalling table manners add a touch of humour to the occasion. Savour delectable treats amidst the serene countryside, creating unforgettable memories with your newfound woolly friends.

You will have the rest of the evening to relax with a book, marvel at the stars lighting up the sky or play some games with friends in the cosy retreat.

Departure Day

Your final day, starts with an awakening inner strength yoga class. This class focuses on combining physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and mindfulness practices to promote a deep connection with one’s inner self and cultivate a sense of inner strength.

Following your yoga class and breakfast, it’s time to say your sheepy goodbyes as you head home from this unique and unforgettable weekend getaway.

The Sleepy Sheep Retreat

A cosy holiday house in a peaceful setting within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. With no traffic noise or light pollution, clean mountain air and private rural location this retreat is the perfect way to getaway away from your busy life and unwind for a little bit.

Your garden is clearly marked and has a fire pit and outdoor table and chairs. You will be invited to Beccy's garden for yoga, pizza night and tea with naughty sheep. De-stress techniques are taught in the barn. Sound healing takes place in the retired VW camper in the meadow.

what are the sleeping arrangements ?

We have one double room with king bed and one small room with bunk beds. We also have a vintage camper van with one double bed if needed. There is one shared shower room
