Embark on an immersive journey through Thailand, starting in the dynamic heart of Bangkok. Dive into its vibrant streets, where the grandeur of the Grand Palace meets the tranquil flow of the Chao Phraya River, and the city pulses with a kaleidoscope of flavors, sights, and sounds.

Visit the Unesco Site of Ayutthaya the ancient capital of the Siamese Kingdom where the ruins of ancient temples, spires and grand monasteries are found.

Next, travel to Kanchanaburi, where history and nature intertwine. Reflect on the past at the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, then escape into the lush jungles and cascading waterfalls—a peaceful contrast to the city’s hustle.

 

Arrival Day

Upon arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok International Airport), your driver will be ready to greet you and take you to straight to your hotel in Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located about 80 kilometers north of Bangkok. The journey will take around one hour and the remainder of the day is yours to unwind at your own pace.

Private Ayutthaya Historical Park Tour - Wat Mahathat

After breakfast and check-out, your private car and local guide will pick you up  from the hotel lobby to begin your tour.

This ancient city was the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom, flourishing from 1350 to 1767, and offers a fascinating glimpse into Thailand’s rich past.

You will start with a private visit to Ayutthaya Historical Park, including the iconic Wat Mahathat. Next, head to the Maeklong Railway Market, a fascinating market set along an active railway track. oday you will have an early start with a shared transfer pick-up between 6:00 and 6:30 am, departing Bangkok for the historic province of Kanchanaburi, located 128 km west of the city.

On arrival, your journey into history begins at the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum dedicated to the construction of the infamous Thailand-Burma Railway, a deeply moving and educational experience, shedding light on one of the most harrowing episodes of World War II.

Next, pay your respects at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the final resting place for over 6,000 Allied POWs who lost their lives during the railway’s construction. From here, you will visit the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, a haunting yet significant landmark that stands as a testament to the sacrifices made during its creation.

After a local lunch, continue to the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre, where you’ll delve further into the history of the railway through exhibits and personal stories. After exploring the museum, descend the steps to the Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail, which traces

Bangkok – Kanchanaburi

This morning you will have an early start as your shared transfer pick-up departs at around 6:00hrs for Kanchanaburi province (128 km. to the west of Bangkok)

When you arrive Arrive at Kanchanaburi you will visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway. The fully air–conditioned centre offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. Visit Kanchanaburi War Cemetery which is memorial to some 6000 allied prisoners of war (POWs) who perished along the death railway line and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place. You will also visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai, part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs.

Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon you will visit the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre. The interpretive centre presents the history of the Burma-Thailand railway under chronological and thematic headings, explaining the rationale for the railway, the way in which it was constructed and the hardship experienced by those who worked on it. Then you can descend the long set of stairs behind the museum on to Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail following the original railway bed through the area’s rugged terrain—a reminder of the harsh conditions faced by those who built it.

From Phu Takien Pier, board a traditional longtail boat and cruise to the serene Floathouse River Kwai, a unique riverside retreat.

Check in to your Floating Villa, (HB) where modern comforts blend with the tranquil beauty of the river.

Conclude the day with a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay in this extraordinary setting, where the gentle sounds of the river create an atmosphere of peace and reflection.

Saiyok Waterfall & National Park – Lawa Cave [

After breakfast, take a long-tailed boat upstream to visit Sai Yok Yai Waterfall & National Park. Then, visit the Mon tribal village, where the Mon people have lived for generations. Visit the Golden Rock, Buddha image cave and village school. Take a short walk on easy jungle trail along the River bank to get to the stunning viewpoint of the River Kwai.

In the afternoon you will visit Lawa Cave, explore many spacious chambers with stalactites and stalagmites.
