Enjoy a unique experience on a Vietnamese duck farm, then venture into the dark caves of Phong Nha National Park for an extra edge of adventure.
At 10:00 am, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Phong Nha by your guide for the day, and taken straight to what is probably as Vietnamese and experience as you can have at The Duck-Stop local farm.
This is quite literally what it sounds like – a duck farm owned by a warm, friendly family who love hosting guests, so expect huge amounts of beer and peanuts upon welcome.
Head to the duck pen, and get stuck into the craziness of feeding huge flocks of ducks by using different techniques taught to you by the family. It might sound odd, but this is actually one of the most wholesome, authentic experiences you could have, and the randomness of the situation, paired with the stunning natural scenery, creates memories that really last.
After your activities on the farm, enjoy some of the locally produced food on the farm with your host family, and enjoy the incredible hospitality you’re offered.
After your lunch, you’ll nip back to your hotel to grab swimming gear, then head for another unforgettable adventure in the Dark Cave.
A minivan will pick you and your guide up, and lead you to Phong Nha-Ke Bang area, one of Vietnam’s largest National Parks. Zipline into the Dark Cave, get down and dirty in the mud baths, and grab a kayak to take a dip in the lake, surrounded by incredible scenery.
Head back to your hotel and relax after a full day of unique experiences and exciting activities and enjoy a free evening. We would recommend a stone massage or a trip to Easy Tiger restaurant for some beers and a friendly atmosphere.
