Overview

The term rolling hills may well stem from the Brecon Beacons, as wild, rippling mountain plateaus covered in heather stretch off for 45 miles from the border in southeast Wales nearly to the coast, concealing idyllic waterfalls in beautiful wooded valleys and glacier-battered cliffsides.

It’s a destination where you can discover some really wild places. Whether tramping along stunning trails or hurtling down rocky descents on mountain bikes, no day in the Brecon Beacons is complete before you’ve settled into a cosy, firelit pub and prepare to do it all again tomorrow.
